Calling all amateurs, this is the Okaloosa County ARES Net.

This net will also meet as needed by our served agencies and each of
you are encouraged to monitor here or the 146.79 repeater. The
purpose of this net is to provide ARES members with routine equipment
checks, training in emergency communications procedures, emergency
preparedness information, and traffic handling opportunities. All
traffic is welcome.
This is a directed Net; please do not transmit until instructed to do
so by the Net Control Station. Emergency traffic will be recognized
immediately, and can be indicated by the use of the appropriate break
tag. Net control for this session is YOUR CALL, YOUR NAME, and I
am located in YOUR QTH.
When checking into the Net, please state your call sign, your name,
the city where you are presently located, and the nature of any
traffic you may have. All stations that are short of time or on emergency power, please
call now.
